India’s Girls Are at Risk
Gender-based violence takes many forms, but it is perhaps most brutal in India–where many girls never get a chance. Some poor families kill their baby girls because they cannot afford to pay a dowry for them when they grow up and marry. Others abandon their daughters. This is why The Mordecai Project has partnered with Raja and Padma Undurthi, Indian ministry leaders, to build and manage the Mordecai House in Tanuku, India. We offer housing, meals and education along with a safe, Christian environment for these girls. And we hope to build them a bigger home soon with your help. Your donations to The Mordecai Project will help us expand this outreach. We also hope to establish another home for abandoned girls in the state of Bihar, in the north of India.
